I use my free time more wisely to maintain my status as a productive citizen of the United States, am paid very well for what I do and and a husband and a father of three. I'm in the 95th percentile of net worth NOT including my home for my age group (under 40) and have NEVER received any financial gifts nor any inheritance.<BR/><BR/>I do NOT have a college degree and do not own any businesses. I just live well below my means and invest for my future. Where will any of you be at retirement? I'll bet money that you'll know all the sports scores, all the multi-millionare players on a first name basis but you'll be broke and begging the government for help. I'll be a multi-millionare and laughing at all the time all of you wasted watching Brittany Spears meltdowns, sports playoff games that seem to take half the season and reality TV shows.<BR/><BR/>God help our youth - they are being led by really crappy excuses for parents these days. Have you see what they are allowed to get away with these days? The television and MP3 player is the new babysitter. With any luck, they'll figure our how to live their lives with respect sometime before they die or end up on some government subsidy program.<BR/><BR/>Now back to being a productive member of society! I'm waning in my survivor love as well. Although I'm still anti-spoiler, and this has been a decent season all around.<BR/><BR/>In any case here's how I know I'm losing my devotion:<BR/><BR/>1) I fall asleep while watching the Survivor episode I taped while at school.<BR/>2) People are allowed to talk to me during the show.<BR/>3) If I miss something someone says, I don't rewind to hear it.<BR/>4) I don't watch Survivor Live with Dalton and Jenna.<BR/>5) I don't care if someone tells me what happened before I see the episode.<BR/>6) I don't have a favorite player.<BR/>7) During the finale I actually washed dishes, cleaned the kitchen, put my kids to bed, and taped the last 30 minutes plus the finale to watch later.<BR/>8) At the end of every season, I say it's my last.<BR/><BR/>However, I have to say this new casual viewing experience is quite freeing, and so I might be able to convince myself to watch China.<BR/><BR/>(This seems it should be its own blog entry.)Melissahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08840137028817553744noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7368965150780854061.post-35401573605450826712007-05-16T13:26:00.000-07:002007-05-16T13:26:00.000-07:00A fanbase?
